Who is AI Billback for?: AI agencies, consultancies, automation firms, and service providers that pay AI provider costs centrally across multiple client projects and need reporting-period allocation and client billback. It is for teams that already have provider cost data — not for replacing a provider dashboard.
Does AI Billback meter AI usage in real time?: No. AI Billback is not a proxy, API gateway, or real-time SaaS metering product. It works from provider cost data you already have and is designed for reporting-period allocation and client billback.
Is AI Billback an invoicing or accounting platform?: No. AI Billback creates client-attributed AI cost statements that can support your existing invoicing workflow. It does not replace Stripe, QuickBooks, Xero, or other accounting or payment systems.
Does AI Billback need my OpenAI or Anthropic API keys?: No. No provider API keys are required. AI Billback is not a proxy and does not require application-code changes. You import cost data you already have.
How are AI costs assigned to clients?: You assign saved cost rows to clients yourself, or leave them unallocated for review. Automatic attribution is not part of the current product.
Can I send statements to clients?: During the 14-day Pro trial and on Pro, you can open a real client AI usage statement and print it from the browser, including Save as PDF. Print is a preview, not an invoicing or email-delivery product. Sample statements stay available without Pro.
What happens after the trial?: The 14-day Pro trial starts on your first real CSV or paste save — sample data does not start a trial, and no credit card is required to begin. After the trial you can still view saved reviews and attribution. Saving new AI Cost Reviews, saving new attribution rules, and printing real client statements require Pro. Checkout is available after those 14 days.
